About
I am currently the CEO of Anarkik3D Ltd, a Company based within Edinburgh College of Art campus which spun out in 2007 to commercialise research here (Tacitus Project) and carried out in collaboration with The University of Edinburgh. The Company's focus is software development to exploit affordable off-the-shelf haptic devices (virtual touch) for immersive applications which enable greater access to the benefits of 3D touch for working, learning and interacting more effectively and pleasurably.
Anarkik3D is one of few commercial UK companies developing for haptics, specifically force feedback. Anarkik3D has the creative/new technology mix, plus passion for a people-centric approach, to design and develop exciting, differentiating and very usable applications as both own brand, branded and bespoke products.
My knowledge and experience as a practising designer and applied artists is invaluable for informing product development and process from the users’ perspective.
